Blue Planet Holidays Web Site launched by Saratoga Technologies UK
A new Saratoga Web site has been launched for Blue Planet Holidays: a new local travel agency specialising in travel and holidays to Asia, Australasia and the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
“Blue Planet Holidays is aimed at people that are looking for something different from their holidays,” explained George Nicholls, Blue Planet Holidays Owner. “There are already many High Street and Internet travel agents offering low-price package holidays,” continued George. “Here at Blue Planet we want to offer something different, with a personal service that cannot be matched. Whether you want authentic experiences in destinations rich in natural beauty, history and culture or an activity holiday or a relaxing cruise, we can create a tailored itinerary to match your requirements, dates and budget. The service we offer is based on listening to what our customers want from their holiday and then matching that as closely as we can at the best price we can achieve.”

“Blue Planet Holidays is another customer that we have been able to work with and take its ideas from concept to reality,” said Wayne Harris, Saratoga UK Managing Director. “Almost all businesses have an Internet presence now. Unfortunately, not all of them have a web site that is actually geared solely to ensure they achieve their business goals. The Internet has developed and continues to do so constantly. It is now not enough to have a Web site. It must be; search engine friendly, different, interesting, have well written content, allow for disabled users, be viewable in more than just Microsoft Internet Explorer, and many, many other things to an unimaginably wide audience. Here at Saratoga we don’t start with ‘this is how we do web sites’. We always start with the customer’s business, what the goals for that business are and what they want the Web site to contribute to the achievement of those goals. The Web site will then be designed and created in partnership to meet these criteria.”

“Saratoga has listened to my ideas, views and business plans throughout the process of creating this new web site. We have built a relationship of trust and mutual respect as I feel the values Saratoga have are very close to those of Blue Planet Holidays. I am confident that the Web site will make a very positive contribution to my business and I’m looking forward to dealing with the flood of new customers,” concluded George.

Saratoga appoints new Networks Manager
The latest addition to the Saratoga Team is Mike Duncan. He has joined as Networks Manager controlling the part of the company providing networking and hardware related services.

“We’re continuing to see fantastic growth here in the UK and have doubled our turnover in the past year. This naturally leads to increased workloads and the team has had to grow to meet this demand. We also have immediate plans to grow this team again in the near future,” explained Wayne Harris, Saratoga UK Managing Director. “The expertise Mike will bring to the Networks department and the company management team will be invaluable and complements the current skills within the company.”
Mike joins Saratoga from Poole based WDS Global, where he worked as an Infrastructure Consultant. Mike has over 6 years experience in Networks and IT infrastructure. By using his skills and expertise he will be able to add some new and valuable ideas to expand the range of services Saratoga customers can access and continue to ensure our clients receive first rate service.

Saratoga Supports FSB Competition
SIMPLE EMAIL WINS TOP-CLASS LAPTOP
A Plumbing and Heating inspector, Murray Freeman, of Poole has found that helping the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) to help him has been rewarded with a top-quality Toshiba laptop computer. Mr Freeman, who is a Member of the Poole Branch, responded to a prize draw offered last month to the County’s almost 4,000 Members. The draw was organised as part of a campaign to glean the email addresses of members to allow quicker and easier communication of FSB information. To enter the draw Members simply forwarded their details via email.
Ken Moon, Chairman of the Wessex Region of which Dorset is part, said that email communication with Members is the way forward to improve services: “There are times when we need to get information to Members as quickly as possible, for example to make them aware of scams or to ask for help in lobbying on their behalf, and email is the obvious and ideal medium for this. Although we have a good database of email addresses already there are gaps, often because people did not have access to email when they first joined or didn’t give us permission to use the address.”
The third prizewinner was Richard Wood of Corfe Mullen who received the latest award-winning anti-virus software AVG Professional Edition, donated by Wayne Harris of Saratoga Technologies. The draw also received sponsorship from Julie Ratcliffe Public Relations.
The Wessex Region is one of the largest of regions of The Federation of Small Businesses and covers Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. It represents over 10,500 FSB Members.
